Responsibilities
Med Surg RNs provide bedside care for a diverse patient population, performing individualized assessments to develop personalized care plans. They prepare medical equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
Med Surg RNs provide bedside care for a diverse patient population, performing individualized assessments to develop personalized care plans. They prepare medical equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
Key Duties Include- Preparing, administering, and recording prescribed medications
- Monitoring patients for adverse symptoms and initiating alternative actions as needed
- Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs when necessary
- Current RN license
- Strong assessment and clinical skills
- Ability to respond promptly to patient needs and adverse events
- Competency in medication administration and invasive procedures
