Quality Manager – Oak Ridge, TN
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and results-driven Quality Manager to lead quality assurance activities for an industrial manufacturing facility within the nuclear industry. This role is responsible for developing and enforcing quality systems, managing audits and inspections, and ensuring compliance with ISO standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain a quality program for an industrial manufacturing facility
- Lead internal and external audits, including customer assessments
- Oversee quality control processes, inspection protocols, and documentation practices across manufacturing operations
- Manage non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure product and process quality
- Monitor quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure traceability and documentation of nuclear‑grade materials and components
- Train and mentor quality personnel and production staff on quality standards and procedures
- Support supplier qualification and performance monitoring
- Prepare and present quality reports to senior leadership and regulatory bodies
- 10+ years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the nuclear industry
- Experience developing and implementing quality programs
- Strong knowledge of ISO quality standards
- Proven leadership and team management skills in a high‑compliance environment
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem‑solving abilities
- Active or recently active DOE Q or DoD Top Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical field
- ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, CMQ/OE) or Six Sigma Black Belt
- Experience with tight‑tolerance machining and CNC processes
- Experience in the Automotive or Aerospace industry
