Position: Accounting Assistant / Staff Accountant

Role Description

Our Real Estate client is seeking an Accounting Assistant / Staff Accountant for a full-time, on-site role based in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing general accounting functions such as accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting. Additional tasks include assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting tax and audit preparation efforts.

Collaboration with team members and aiding in financial analysis will also be key responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management
  • Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
  • Strong skills in bookkeeping, financial analysis, and tax preparation
  • Familiarity with Yardi accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Prior experience working in real estate industries is a plus
