Summary of PositionPine Tree is seeking a dynamic and career-minded accounting professional to join our growing team. The Property Accountant will be responsible for all accounting functions for specific properties in our growing portfolio of retail shopping centers. They may also be accountable for certain property accounting entries handled centrally across the entire portfolio. Work with the treasury department to facilitate wire activity and general department assistance.
Responsibilities- Review ledger detail, record adjusting journal entries, and review/reconcile subsidiary ledger activity to the general ledger
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting work papers, including Property Fixed Asset schedules
- Work with Property Managers in preparation of monthly variance reports and recovery reconciliations/billings
- Review of general ledger reconciliations and CAM/TAX reconciliations
- Review of new lease abstracts and related changes
- Respond and provide support for accounting-related inquiries
- Ascertains the needs of various groups supported by the department to ensure that said needs are met.
- Work with the treasury department to assist in monthly financial transaction activities and electronic payments.
- Treasury department cash reporting and compliance reporting.
- Performs property-level analysis, including lender-required reporting, annual budget reviews, and distribution calculations.
- BS/BA in Accounting or Finance with a concentration in Accounting; CPA preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and work independently
- Self-starter who can manage a broad range of responsibilities
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, coupled with expert knowledge of Excel.
- Proficient with MS Office software and Yardi Voyager.

Salary Range $65,000 - $75,000, including a discretionary year-end bonus
