Position:
Business Analyst – Energy Operations. The role performs detailed analysis, modeling, forecasting, and performance reporting to support business operations and operational performance across safety, reliability, service level, and productivity.

• Develop and conduct short‑ and long‑term business planning.
• Conduct complex modeling, forecasting, trending, variance analysis, business case development, and other financial and operational analyses.
• Provide statistical information to optimize utilization of personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Monitor and coordinate activities to manage operational performance (safety, reliability, service level, productivity) and recommend improvements.
• Track, maintain, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and business scorecards.
• Perform cost‑analysis to ensure effective and efficient operations.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop, implement, evaluate, or lead projects or initiatives (e.g., process improvements).
• Deliver broad analytic and operational support to the business unit; may require extended hours during emergencies.

Individual contributor position with general direction. Requires mentorship of less experienced colleagues and interaction with executives, managers, and staff across the organization. May require shift work and extended hours.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering and 4–7 years of related business experience, or 6–9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Comprehensive understanding of applicable standards, methods, and performance metrics in the functional area (e.g., asset management, operations, customer service, transmission, distribution, regulatory affairs).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project) and specialized business technologies (workforce management, project management, Pass Port, Brio, CIS, EPS, Business Objects, SAP planning).
• Strong analytical skills for project evaluation, including economic, financial, risk, and decision analysis.
• Ability to develop and present business cases to leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, customer‑driven mindset, and project management skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of performance analysis practices (trending, root cause, gap analysis) and audit compliance.

• MBA or advanced degree.
• Advanced experience with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis across large data sets.
• Working knowledge of scripting languages (Python, R, or similar) for data analysis, automation, and reporting.

• Annual salary: $80,000–$110,000 per year.
• Annual bonus (eligible positions): 15%.
