MEP Project Manager

My client is seeking a Project Manager / Senior MEP Engineer to join our growing team in Oakbrook Terrace. This is a unique opportunity for a well‑rounded engineer who enjoys both technical design and project leadership

This position will play a key role in managing projects while remaining actively involved in design. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
, with the ability to lead projects from concept through completion.

Over time, this role will evolve into broader business and operational leadership
, with a clear path toward long‑term growth within the firm.

• Manage MEP projects from design through construction
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
• Perform and oversee design work across MEP systems as needed
• Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to client satisfaction
• Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development
• Assist with operational and business initiatives as the role evolves

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• Experience in consulting engineering environments (preferably small to mid‑sized firms)
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Proven ability to manage projects while staying technically involved
• Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a collaborative, team‑oriented setting
• Interest in growing into a business leadership role over time
