A nationally recognized design-build contractor headquartered just outside Chicago is seeking a Project Manager with proven experience delivering data center projects. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing team with a strong reputation in the industrial, mission-critical, and commercial sectors.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, has a deep understanding of data center construction, and can confidently manage client relationships, field teams, and project execution from concept to closeout.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of assigned data center and mission-critical projects, including preconstruction, scheduling, procurement, construction, and closeout
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors
• Ensure all work meets project specifications, quality standards, and schedule milestones
• Oversee project budgets, change orders, contracts, and cost controls
• Work collaboratively with design, engineering, and field operations to anticipate and solve issues before they impact performance
• Travel to job sites as needed throughout the U.S.

Qualifications:

• 5–10+ years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on industrial or mission-critical builds
• Strong background managing large-scale data center or MEP-intensive projects
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-driven environment
• Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam)
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Willingness to travel nationally as projects require
