Job Description

At Atlas, we're providing services that enable communities to flourish and thrive, and if you're looking for an Environmental Investigation and Remediation Scientist role ready to perform environmental site assessments and prepare technical reports and committed to doing meaningful work, then this is your moment. You'll assist with field coordination involving soil and groundwater work, UST oversight, vendor management, and frequent travel.

Core Responsibilities

Environmental Site Assessments:
Soil Characterization and sampling, groundwater sampling, soil gas sampling, contractor oversight, UST removal and soil excavation oversight. May be requested to assist other departments.

Technical report preparation:
Field Summary reports, Phase II Site Investigation reports, UST/LUST related reports, Site Remediation Program reports, proposals, estimates, and work plans.

Preparation of field documents (notes, forms, photographs, figures, logs, etc.)

Communicate project task status, schedule, findings, and recommendations to staff and senior consultants

Coordinate with various vendors for project execution

Local travel of 25-75% is expected

Occasional travel out-of-state or weekend work may be required from time to time

BA/BS in Science Related Discipline

2 - 6 years of relevant experience

A strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Experience with AutoCAD and GIS program (preferred but…
