Description

TEKsystems is seeking a Software Engineer to help one of our clients in the Western suburbs of Chicago. This is a full time role and needs react and .net core experience.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related field OR equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development in a distributed multi-tier environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to create excellent software development lifecycle documentation.
  • Ability to work with a variety of programming languages.
  • Stays current with modern development techniques, trends, and best practices.
  • Proficient at taking a project from inception thru implementation including project planning, status reporting, requirements gathering, design, coding, unit and integration testing.
  • 3-5+ years of experience as a Lead software engineer or equivalent technical lead position.
  • 5+ years of experience with C#/.NET development.
  • 5+ years of experience with web development (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery).
  • 2-3+ years of experience with Angular 2+ or similar JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
  • 5+ years of experience using Microsoft SQL Server, or similar RDBMS.
  • 3+ years of experience with Entity Framework.
  • 3+ years of experience with API development.
  • Experience with service-oriented architectures.
  • Experience with Git and TFVC source control.
  • Experience with Visual Studio 2017+.
  • Experience with Agile principles and methodologies.
  • Understanding of OOP and SOLID principles.
Job Type & Location

Permanent position based out of Oakbrook Terrace, IL. This is a hybrid position in Oakbrook Terrace, IL.

Pay & Benefits

The pay range for this position is $ - $ per year.

2026 Open Enrollment is passive. If you do not complete Open Enrollment, 2025 benefits will roll over to 2026, except the following, which require Open Enrollment elections:

  • FSA-Health Care and Dependent Care
  • HSA (Health Savers Medical Plan required)
  • HDHP plan deductible increased to $3,400/$6,800.
  • HMO Medical Plan Rx out of pocket max increased to $1,000/$3,000. Inpatient copay increased to $500 for first 3 days, Outpatient surgery copay increased to $200. Emergency Room co-pay increased to $300.
  • CVS Maintenance Choice program added for 2026.
  • Dental PPO plan surgical periodontics benefit coverage increased to 80%.
  • Maintenance choice has been added to our CVS pharmacy benefit.
  • Health Care FSA maximum is $3,400; rollover is $40 minimum to $680 maximum.
  • HSA maximum for enrollees of the Health Savers medical plan is $4,400 individual/$8,750 if you cover your spouse or child(ren). Add $1,000 if you are age 55+.
  • 401(k) maximum employee deferral:
    • $24,500
    • $32,500 if you're age 50-59 or age 64+ in 2026
    • $35,750 if you are age 60-63 in 2026
  • Starting in 2026, employees earning more than $150,000 in the previous year who are age 50 or older must make their 401k catch-up contributions as Roth contributions.
