Location:Oak Brook Terrace, IL(Hybrid – 3 days onsite Tuesday–Thursday, Monday & Friday remote)
Our client is seeking a Mid-Level PJM Automation Developer to support a growing project management organization by designing and implementing automation solutions that improve operational efficiency. This individual will partner closely with project managers and technical teams to automate manual processes, develop Power BI dashboards, integrate legacy data sources, and build scalable workflow solutions that enhance visibility across construction and capital projects.
KeyHighlights:
- Design, develop, and deploy automation solutions that streamline project management workflows and eliminate manual processes.
- Build interactive Power BI dashboards to provide real-time reporting, analytics, and geographic visualization of project data.
- Extract, transform, and integrate data from multiple internal and third-party systems to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Automate document generation, form population, and other repetitive business processes across the department.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and optimize existing workflows.
- Develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain automation scripts, tools, and applications.
- Document technical solutions, system configurations, and user processes while supporting long-term maintainability.
- Stay current on automation technologies and recommend new tools and best practices to improve departmental productivity.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of experience in software development, automation development, or technical application development.
- Strong experience developing Power BI dashboards and data visualization solutions.
- Experience automating business processes, workflows, and reporting solutions.
- Understanding of construction, capital projects, project controls, or project management environments is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
- Experience integrating data from multiple applications, legacy systems, or third-party platforms is preferred.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with three days per week onsite in Oak Brook Terrace, IL.
