Construction Laborer

Description: BBSI is looking for someone to fill a position for General Laborer position with a client in the construction field. Our client is looking for candidates that are hardworking, driven, skillful, and willing to succeed. The job responsibilities include assisting with hands-on physical labor and operation of machinery/vehicles. They provide their customers with the quality remodels, repairs, and install fixtures by giving their best efforts as a team.

General Responsibilities:

• Take measurements
• Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g., fiberglass) according to measurements
• Conduct repairs or maintenance
• General Laborer is responsible for carrying out carpentry labor, material handling, job site clean-up as assigned by the Supervisor
• Adhere to company rules and regulations
• Maintain a neat and safe workspace
• Clearly and respectfully communicate with supervisors and coworkers

Skills:

• Demonstrated understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
• Willingness to follow safety guidelines always.
• Ability to fluently speak, read and write in English (bilingual a plus).
• Good understanding of basic math
• Experience in the construction field
• Able to use hand saw, skill saw, hammer and various tools
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Timeliness and organizational skills

Job Type:
Full-time

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour (DOE)

Experience:

• General Construction: 4
  -5 years (Preferred)
