Description: BBSI is looking for someone to fill a position for General Laborer position with a client in the construction field. Our client is looking for candidates that are hardworking, driven, skillful, and willing to succeed. The job responsibilities include assisting with hands-on physical labor and operation of machinery/vehicles. They provide their customers with the quality remodels, repairs, and install fixtures by giving their best efforts as a team.
General Responsibilities:
- Take measurements
- Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g., fiberglass) according to measurements
- Conduct repairs or maintenance
- General Laborer is responsible for carrying out carpentry labor, material handling, job site clean-up as assigned by the Supervisor
- Adhere to company rules and regulations
- Maintain a neat and safe workspace
- Clearly and respectfully communicate with supervisors and coworkers
- Demonstrated understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines always.
- Ability to fluently speak, read and write in English (bilingual a plus).
- Good understanding of basic math
- Experience in the construction field
- Able to use hand saw, skill saw, hammer and various tools
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Timeliness and organizational skills
Full-time
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour (DOE)
