Construction Laborer

Description:

BBSI is looking for someone to fill a position for General Laborer position with a client in the construction field. Our client is looking for candidates that are hardworking, driven, skillful, and willing to succeed. The job responsibilities include assisting with hands-on physical labor and operation of machinery/vehicles. They provide their customers with the quality remodels, repairs, and install fixtures by giving their best efforts as a team.

General Responsibilities:

* Take measurements

* Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g., fiberglass) according to measurements

* Conduct repairs or maintenance

* General Laborer is responsible for carrying out carpentry labor, material handling, job site clean-up as assigned by the Supervisor

* Adhere to company rules and regulations

* Maintain a neat and safe workspace

* Clearly and respectfully communicate with supervisors and coworkers

Skills:

* Demonstrated understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction

* Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)

* Willingness to follow safety guidelines always.

* Ability to fluently speak, read and write in English (bilingual a plus).

* Good understanding of basic math

* Experience in the construction field

* Able to use hand saw, skill saw, hammer and various tools

* Ability to lift heavy objects

* Timeliness and organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour (DOE)

Experience:

* General Construction: 4
-5 years (Preferred)
