Electrical Estimator

Collins is looking for an Experienced Electrical Estimator with solid industry experience who is ready to take on complex bids, collaborate with internal teams, and work directly with clients and trade partners.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and industrial electrical construction
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and other bid documentation to assess scope and ensure accurate takeoffs.
• Use Accu Bid and On-Screen Takeoff to perform material and labor
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and conduct site assessments as
• Develop professional bid proposals and assist with client
• Analyze potential risks, constructability, and cost-saving
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers throughout the preconstruction
• Maintain accurate historical cost data and participate in continuous process
• Provide technical input and pricing for design-build and design-assist

• 5+ years of experience in electrical estimating, ideally on projects ranging from $1M–$10M.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods, materials, and
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local
• Proficiency in Accu Bid Classic

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple estimates
• Degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
