Overview
Oakdale is hiring for entry level and lateral police officer positions. Lateral candidates pay commensurate with experience, with front-loaded Paid Time Off based on previous service, and an accelerated FTO process.
Responsibilities- Respond to calls for service; handle citizen complaints, problem solving, making custodial arrests, and issuing summons.
- Knowledge of state law and local ordinance.
- Ability to drive and operate emergency vehicles.
- Ability to handle volatile persons, defend self and others, and testify.
- Front-loaded Paid Time Off based on previous service and an accelerated FTO process for lateral candidates.
