Role Type: Full-time
Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 per year + annual bonus. Actual compensation offered will be determined individually based on location, skills, licensure, experience, and education. Summary:
The Shared Services and Purchasing Manager will provide the daily oversight and delivery of all services and purchasing for the organization. Responsibilities include managing delivery, category spend, and suppliers for shared services (travel, expense management, logistics, mail services, office supplies, breakroom management, shredding, supplier relationship management, and related areas). Ensure services align with company objectives and expectations. Manage the Purchasing function, including PO management and alignment with contractual obligations.
Oversee onboarding of new groups to services and purchasing requirements through acquisitions and mergers.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in a business-related field;
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required with applicable experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team supporting the delivery of shared services and purchasing across the organization.
- Manage the categories of shared services, develop and execute strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Oversee travel services with the online booking tool, travel management company, and expense reporting tool.
- Manage processes, systems, tools, workflows, and procedures for efficient transactions and user experience.
- Effectively onboard new groups to our systems and processes during acquisitions and mergers.
- Continuously evaluate shared services providers and ensure performance meets standards and expectations; align providers with objectives.
- Provide general management responsibilities with team members.
- Develop and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
- Utilize logic and reasoning to assess alternatives and solve problems.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally to diverse audiences.
- Apply knowledge of shared services trends, regulatory considerations, and industry developments.
- Use processes, tools, and techniques to detect, address, and prevent fraudulent situations.
- Foster constructive and cooperative working relationships to maintain collaboration over time.
- Maintain a customer service-oriented function, actively seeking ways to help people.
- Apply knowledge of Microsoft Office and cross-functional features to improve efficiency.
Basic Requirements:
- 10 years of relevant experience in leading Purchasing and Shared Services management functions.
- 10 years of experience with relevant Financial Services industry experience.
- 10 years of Supervisory/Managerial roles.
Preferred Requirements:
- Industry certifications (CPM, APICS, CPSM, CSPM, CTE, etc.).
- 15+ years of leading Shared Services and Purchasing experience.
- 5+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry.
- Demonstrated experience implementing or re-implementing shared services and purchasing functions.
