Key Tronic Oakdale, MN facility is seeking a Production Planner to work with Program Managers, Production Managers, and Production Leads to schedule Manufacturing Orders, ensuring schedule completion dates and customer commit dates are met. The candidate will assist with reviewing customer orders and releasing orders to meet customer requirements.
Essential Functions- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules
- Attend daily Production/Shipping Meeting and assist with leading Daily schedule meetings
- Assist with prioritizing schedules to optimize workflows to meet schedule completion and commit dates
- Communicate schedules with Production Manager, Leads, Program Managers, and Management
- Drive to eliminate barriers that affect meeting schedule completion dates and customer commit dates
- Assist with insuring work‑in‑process manufacturing accuracy (CMS and Aegis)
- Liaison between Production, Planning, Purchasing, Materials, Engineering, Program Managers
- Release assigned customer production orders in Business System (CMS)
- Communicate and coordinate action plans to eliminate Manufacturing Order material shortages with Production, Materials, and Purchasing
- Communicate ship schedule misses, commit date delays, and revised commit days to Program Managers and customers when applicable
- Follow department work instructions and improve where needed
- Take on additional tasks as required
Is supervised by the Director of Supply Chain and has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Physical DemandsThe employee is required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, talk, hear, and see. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or reach with hands and arms. The environment is fast‑paced, time‑pressured, and requires accuracy. The employee will regularly multi‑task between projects, be required to move throughout the office building and production floor, and communicate orally and in writing.
WorkEnvironment
The normal environment is quiet and typical of an open cubicle setting with some areas that may be louder employee may occasionally be near moving mechanical parts and exposed to fumes or airborne particles on the production floor.

- High school diploma or GED
- Five or more years of production planning experience
- Familiarity with MRP systems and ISO procedures and requirements
- High level of proficiency in Windows, Excel, and Word applications
- Ability to write, read, and speak English
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong multi‑tasking, problem‑solving, and customer‑service skills; ability to work in a team environment
