Sheet Metal​/Fabrication Technician

Job Summary

The Sheet Metal / Fabrication Technician does light machining, drilling, tapping, countersinking, installs hardware using PEM Setter, deburs, grinds, a variety of metal or plastic parts in preparation for the next stage of operation and/or for shipment to the customer. The Sheet Metal / Fabrication Technician stages work by due dates; reads work orders and blueprints; handles/moves parts, materials, hardware, tools and equipment;

and ensures that completed work meets required specifications. This work requires a high degree of attention to detail and precision, as the Sheet Metal / Fabrication Technician is responsible for ensuring that parts meet company/customer expectations prior to them being shipped to customers and/or coating facilities.
