Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Compensation$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year.
SummaryResponsible for day‑to‑day management of the technical section assigned, typically 4–10 staff, to meet client timelines, ensure data quality, deliver reports, and maintain operations within the quality system.
Responsibilities- Supervise staff: hiring, training, evaluation, compensation recommendations, and performance management.
- Provide training, tools, and information needed for safe, effective work.
- Oversee testing, scheduling, inventory, services, and communication of lab and field activities.
- Assign and monitor training, laboratory, and facility duties for timeliness and accuracy.
- Document client requirements using appropriate formats.
- Serve as primary liaison with clients; provide status updates and coordinate responses.
- Ensure accuracy of tests, databases, and reports through audits and operational reviews; resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with equipment and facility maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Participate in writing, reviewing, and approving SOPs, calibration procedures, validation protocols, and maintenance procedures.
- Review testing processes, forms, and databases; provide analysis, guidance, and recommendations.
- Support departmental and cross‑functional projects, including budgets, timelines, and staffing.
- Ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements; partner with Quality Assurance.
- Promote a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
- Five (5) years laboratory, field, or testing experience (or equivalent education and experience). Two (2) years team leadership preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and technical writing skills.
- Advanced laboratory or testing principles and practices.
- Broad understanding of operational oversight, policies, and procedures.
- Problem‑solving for complex technical issues; knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with computer applications and systems; team collaboration principles.
- Ability to interpret and apply regulations, prepare complex reports, exercise independent judgment, build relationships, and deliver presentations.
