Core Responsibilities- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions.
- Smile and greet customers, learn their names and address them by name whenever possible.
- Assist customers by noting suggestions or requests and performing other tasks that enhance the shopping experience.
- Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to callers.
- Work with co‑workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
- Operate the cash register accurately, scan products, and handle cash, checks, credit‑card and in‑store charge transactions; produce receipts and provide proper change.
- Redeem promotional coupons, receive payments, and issue receipts.
- Place merchandise in bags or boxes and deliver packages to customers.
- Ensure adequate supply of silverware, condiments, beverage cups, and coffee service area supplies (cups, utensils, condiments).
- Maintain cleanliness of all work areas and adhere to sanitation procedures.
- Follow company policies and store guidelines regarding personal hygiene and dress.
- Report to work on time and when scheduled.
- Assist with bussing tables in the Hickory House or Market Grille sit‑down areas.
- Assist with running orders to the sit‑down area from all food stations.
- Help in other store areas as needed.
- Perform additional job‑related duties and special projects as required.
- Follow detailed written or verbal instructions and handle a few concrete variables.
- Perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages; make change.
- Understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing.

Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must have visual acuity from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
WorkingConditions
This position is frequently exposed to temperature extremes and dampness. Possible hazards include equipment movement, electrical shock, and exposure to cleaning chemicals and solvents. The environment is fast paced.
Compensation & BenefitsAnticipated hourly starting wage: $13.00 to $16.25 depending on experience. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre‑employment drug screen.
