Compensation: $85,000-$95,000 per year
The salary range reflects multiple factors, including geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, market conditions, budget considerations, and organizational compensation guidelines. Final compensation may vary based on these factors.
Scientist III, Analytical ChemistryJoin Pace® Life Sciences as a Scientist III in Oakdale, MN, and use your advanced analytical chemistry experience to support pharmaceutical development in a GxP-regulated laboratory. In this full-time, onsite role, you will perform complex laboratory testing, develop and validate analytical methods, interpret data, troubleshoot instrumentation and methods, and help deliver reliable results that support client programs from development through commercialization.

What You’ll Do:This role is primarly focused on supporting both marketed pharmaceutical products and working with clients to commercialize new drug products.
Perform complex analytical testing using techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, LC-MS, GC, GC-MS, UV/Vis, FTIR, spectroscopy, dissolution, and supplementary wet chemistry in accordance with SOPs and GxP requirements.
Lead analytical method development, optimization, and validation activities to ensure methods are suitable for intended use and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Analyze and interpret data, troubleshoot analytical issues, and prepare clear summaries, technical reports, and documentation of experimental results.
Document procedures, observations, results, deviations, and investigations accurately in laboratory notebooks, LIMS, and other required systems.
Lead and facilitate OOS and OOT investigations, help identify root causes, and support corrective and preventive actions.
Author, review, and revise test methods, validation protocols, SOPs, and related technical documents.
Collaborate with project teams, quality partners, and laboratory colleagues to meet client expectations.
Follow all safety requirements, GxP standards, and internal quality policies.
Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior scientists and laboratory personnel as needed.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific field.
8-10 years of relevant experience in a GxP-regulated laboratory environment.
Hands-on experience with advanced analytical techniques, including HPLC, UPLC, GC, GC-MS, and LC-MS.
Strong application of GLP, GMP, or GxP guidances in a laboratory setting.
Experience with analytical method development, optimization, and validation.
Proficiency in data analysis, chromatographic interpretation, troubleshooting, and technical report writing.
Familiarity with LIMS and other laboratory software.
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
