Position: STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Job Description

Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center is a 182‑bed private psychiatric hospital located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. We use specialized treatments and supportive services to provide high‑quality inpatient and outpatient programs with evidence‑based therapies that meet the individual needs of our patients.

We are currently hiring for a full‑time Sr. Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant supports the financial related processes in the facility by maintaining and analyzing accounting records, ensuring accuracy of data for all corresponding systems, and supporting the Sr. Staff Accountant and/or CFO with overall financial activities, including but not limited to general accounting, data processing, and financial reporting of the facilities in accordance with all Company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for month‑end close binder and prepares journal entries as assigned by the CFO.
  • Maintain UKG timekeeping system and communicate errors to the appropriate Department Director and CFO.
  • Support the processing of bi‑weekly payroll for Fort Lauderdale Hospital in a timely manner and adhere to all corporate guidelines.
  • Maintain accounts payable system to ensure that all vendors are paid in accordance with contracts or terms stated on invoices.
  • Assist CFO and Sr. Accountant with the annual budget process.
  • Participate in daily operations and management meetings.
  • Provide information in response to ad hoc corporate accounting requests.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in accounting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic clerical skills and ability to problem‑solve.
