Position: STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center is a 182-bed, private psychiatric hospital located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. It helps individuals suffering from mental health and substance abuse disorders gain the skills they need to walk on the path to recovery. We use specialized treatments and supportive services to provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient programs with evidence-based therapies that meet the individual needs of our patients.

We are currently hiring for a full-time Sr. Accountant to join our team!

The Staff Accountant supports the financial related processes in the facility by maintaining and analyzing accounting records and ensuring accuracy of data for all corresponding systems while supporting the Sr. Staff Accountant and/or CFO with the overall financial activities, including but not limited to general accounting, data processing and financial reporting of the facilities in accordance with all Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications
  • Responsible for Month end close binder. Prepares journal entries as assigned by the CFO.
  • Maintain UKG time keeping system and communicate errors to appropriate Department Director and CFO.
  • Must support the processing of bi-weekly payroll for Fort Lauderdale Hospital in a timely manner and adhere to all corporate guidelines.
  • Maintain accounts payable system to ensure that all vendors are paid in accordance with contracts or terms stated on invoices.
  • Assists CFO and Sr. Accountant with annual budget process.
  • Participates in daily operations and management meetings.
  • Provides information in response to ad hoc corporate accounting requests.
Job Requirements
  • Associate degree in accounting
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic clerical skills and ability to problem solve.
