Vaco is hiring a JR Applications Engineer
Location:
Oakland Park, FL
Compensation: $75 - $85/annually
Leads the development and release of high-quality end-user and service documentation. Supports Customer Service through successful product installations, training, and resolution of technical issues.
Key Responsibilities Customer & Technical Support- Provide comprehensive technical and application support to customers.
- Perform installation, commissioning, servicing, and repair of systems at customer sites.
- Deliver effective training to end users, service teams, and customer personnel.
- Conduct onsite evaluations for existing products and field prototypes.
- Prepare technical drawings, documentation, and application details as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering reports, letters, and customer-facing documentation.
- Collaborate closely with Customer Service to address inquiries and technical requests in a timely manner.
- Respond to emergency service needs on a 24/7 basis as required.
- Review and evaluate bid specifications for retrofit or upgrade projects.
- Develop recommendations, requirements, parts lists, and layout concepts based on available information.
- Create, modify, and review technical drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Support design reviews for existing and new products, including specifications and testing requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across current product offeringsli>
- Maintain consistent, high-quality technical documentation across the product portfolio.
- Assist new product development efforts to achieve successful product designs.
- Research and monitor market trends, emerging technologies, materials, and industry developments.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
- Evaluate and implement improvement ideas, tools, and methodologies.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned based on business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant industry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience working directly with customers and OEM partners.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to product design is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with CAD and technical documentation tools (e.g., Solid Works or similar), as well as general business software applications.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Experience with safety-related or regulated products is a plus.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 25%.
