Location:

Oakland Park, FL. Compensation: $142k-$156k annually.

Leads daily activities of applications engineers, reviews customers’ technical needs, recommends product/service solutions, leads research and report preparation, oversees design and development of equipment and systems, ensures projects are completed on time and within budget, and advises the applications engineering team on projects, tasks, and operations.

• Supervise and manage daily activities of application engineers, ensuring they meet customer technical needs and project deadlines.
• Lead the design and development of applications, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Develop and implement technical support procedures and manuals, and provide input on product enhancements and development.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams (sales, marketing, engineering) to align product offerings with customer requirements.
• Ensure all engineering processes adhere to quality standards and best practices, including participation in ISO certification processes if applicable.
• Manage the product development lifecycle for rapid and revolutionary development.
• Analyze business requirements to coordinate the development and maintenance of applications.
• Demonstrate strong desire to increase technical knowledge and experience.
• Commit to developing a world‑class portfolio of wheelchair securements.
• Resolve issues quickly and creatively.
• Lead and participate in application development discussions, recommend design choices, and execute projects balancing strategic and tactical goals.
• Manage the QLK and NEMT securement bracket development process.
• Mentor and grow a team of application engineers, accelerating a customer‑first and data‑driven culture.
• Learn and support new technologies quickly.
• Collaborate with the Product Manager and R&D during development, feedback, and testing.
• Operate comfortably in both technical and business process situations and collaborate with the Executive Team on project prioritization.
• Ensure secure, scalable, and responsive securement applications with the Engineering R&D team.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience, at least 1–3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, project management, and mechanical/electromechanical safety systems.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills with a detail‑oriented approach to project management.

Compensation for this role is based on skill set, experience, training, licensure, certification, office location, and other business considerations. The salary range above represents a reasonable estimate of base compensation.
