Position: Senior Accountant (Contract)
Description

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support our clients with critical accounting activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a versatile accounting professional to make an immediate impact in a dynamic environment.

Location:

Oakland, CA (Hybrid, BART Accessible)

Schedule:

Full-Time, Monday-Friday

Duration: 4-6 Months (Potential for Extension)

Responsibilities

+ Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.

+ Assist with month-end close processes.

+ Prepare and review journal entries and supporting documentation.

+ Analyze variances and resolve discrepancies promptly.

+ Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards.

+ Other accounting related duties as needed

Requirements

+ 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior or lead role.

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and end-of-year close procedures.

+ Proficiency in Excel and major accounting software (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, or similar).

+ Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
