AP Specialist

Pay Rate: $24.13 per hour

• Duration: 3 Months
• Work Mode: Hybrid
• Location: Oakland, CA

• Code and enter invoices on a timely basis into Workday
• Reach out to the company community for clarification on coding of invoices
• Contact vendors/suppliers for statement of accounts, issues with invoices, and billing discrepancies
• Manage the AP Inbox in Outlook, professionally and courteously respond to vendor and company community inquiries
• Review the AP aging on a weekly basis, ensuring past‑due balances are scheduled for payment
• Perform special projects as assigned
• Print and mail 1099’s and 1096’s on an annual basis

• Minimum five years of Accounts Payable (full-cycle) or general accounting experience required
• Must have excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills to work with all levels of the company

• Familiarity and high comfort level with web‑based technology and proficiency in Microsoft Office software are required
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting procedures, experience and demonstrated abilities for working in a fast‑paced, multi‑cultural setting
• Strong organizational skills, accurate, and detail‑oriented
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages

• Must have Workday experience, multi‑fund accounting experience/knowledge, and non‑profit experience
