Staff Accountant; Nonprofit Organization

Overview

Our client, a mission‑driven nonprofit organization, is seeking a Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone with experience in accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting who wants to contribute to meaningful work.

• Post cash receipts, donations, and ACH payments to the general ledger
• Perform bank and accounts receivable reconciliations
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections follow‑up
• Prepare weekly/monthly donation and revenue reports
• Maintain W‑9s and insurance documentation, including COIs
• Support corporate credit card administration and employee inquiries
• Provide backup for accounts payable as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting or accounts‑receivable experience (nonprofit a plus)
• Strong skills in reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and Excel
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
