LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Staff Accountant for one of our long term clients located in Oakland, California. The work schedule is hybrid and will require in-office presence one day a week. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least three years of general accounting experience in a non‑profit organization, managing budget operations.
Responsibilities- Assist with the month, quarter, and year‑end close and ensure deadlines are met, focusing on fund accounting and net asset classification.
- Prepare, post, and adjust journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Process and review monthly credit card reports and expenses for accuracy and coding.
- Prepare audit tax schedules and supporting documentation.
- Analyze large data sets.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
- Experience in a non‑profit or with a government contract is a big plus.
- Software experience with medium to large ERP platform preferred;
Sage Intacct and SAP Concur are pluses. - Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel – Intermediate/Advanced).
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to multi‑task.
- Excellent communication skills, outgoing, and a team player.
- Aptitude to learn and grow.
- Minimum three years of accounting experience.
Temp to Hire
Pay Details$33.00 to $38.00 per hour
