Staff Accountant Position
LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Staff Accountant for one of our long term clients located in Oakland, California. The work schedule is hybrid and will be required to be in-office 1 day a week. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting, have 3 years of experience in general accounting in a non-profit organization developing and managing budget operations.
The role supports month-end close, audit preparation, journal entries, account reconciliations, and assists the department and team with additional duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned.
- Assist with the month, quarter, and year-end close and ensure deadlines are met monthly with attention to fund accounting and net asset classification
- Prepare, post, and adjust journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts
- Process and review monthly credit card reports and expenses for accuracy and coding
- Prepare audit tax schedules and supporting documentation
- Comfortable in analyzing large data sets
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required
- Experience in a non-profit or with government contract would be a big plus
- Software experience with medium to large ERP platform is preferred;
Sage Intacct and SAP Concur is a plus - Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, & Excel - Intermediate/Advanced)

- Aptitude to learn and grow
Minimum 3 years of general accounting experience.

Temp to Hire.
$33.00 to $38.00 per hour
