Accounts Receivable / Payroll Specialist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing organization in Oakland that is seeking an Accounts Receivable / Payroll Specialist to join their team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering long-term potential in a stable and collaborative environment.
This position will be fully onsite during training and will transition to a hybrid schedule once onboarding is complete.
Responsibilities- Process semi-monthly payroll including earnings, deductions, and adjustments
- Review employee time records, pay rates, and payroll changes in partnership with HR
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations across multiple states
- Prepare payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll-related accounts
- Manage payroll deductions and third-party vendor integrations
- Support accounts receivable functions including invoicing, payment posting, and reconciliations
- Monitor aging reports and assist with collections and discrepancy resolution
- Assist with system data transfers between internal systems and accounting platforms
- Support month-end and year-end close activities
- Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 3–5 years of experience supporting both payroll and accounts receivable
- Experience with ERP systems and payroll platforms (ADP or similar preferred)
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Prior experience working with large data sets
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information

Pay Details$33.97 to $38.87 per hour, depending on experience
