Staff Accountant | Real Estate Development | Oakland

This is an opportunity to work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where you'll gain broad exposure across accounts payable, general ledger accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting in a complex multi-entity business.

Responsibilities

+ Process and code vendor invoices across multiple entities and projects

+ Manage the AP process, vendor relationships, and payment activities

+ Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany transactions

+ Support month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting

+ Assist with consolidations, audits, tax requests, and compliance reporting

+ Partner with accounting, operations, and project teams to improve processes and maintain strong financial controls

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

+ 2-5+ years of accounting experience, including accounts payable and general ledger accounting

+ Experience in real estate, construction, or another project-based industry preferred

+ Experience working in a multi-entity environment

+ Yardi or similar ERP experience preferred

+ Strong Excel skills and attention to detail

+ Organized, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
