The Chinese Community Health Resource Center (CCHRC) is seeking a Part-Time Administrative Assistant to support programs and daily operations at the Chinese Community Health Wellness and Resource Center, located at Northgate Terrace.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a community-focused environment supporting senior residents, staff, and wellness activities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide general administrative support, including filing, data entry, and document management
- Assist with preparation and coordination of resident activities, workshops, and events
- Support scheduling, room setup, and material preparation for programs/activities.
- Maintain attendance logs, sign‑in sheets, and basic program records
- Serve as a point of contact for residents, staff, and visiting partners
- Assist with inventory tracking and ordering of program supplies
- Perform other administrative and program support tasks as needed
- Co‑lead resident needs assessment development, implementation, analysis, reporting, recommendations for programmatic improvements and expansion
- Assist with health fairs and community outreach events
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Mingle with residents, build rapport with seniors, and provide friendly, respectful support
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous administrative or office support experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Comfortable using basic office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, Dropbox)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a community setting
- Bilingual (Chinese/Cantonese/Mandarin) skills are a plus, but not required
- Demonstrates cultural humility and respect when working with residents from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Ability to function within a multidisciplinary environment
- Part-time: 20 hours per week
- Some weekend work required, especially for events or health fairs
