Are you an organized, systems-minded professional who keeps organizations running smoothly? The Black Cultural Zone CDC (BCZ) is seeking a Coordinator, Operations to support the daily operational workflows, logistical coordination, and administrative infrastructure that sustains BCZ's mission-driven work across Deep East Oakland.

What You'll Do
  • Manage Daily Operations:
    Support the execution of daily operational workflows including scheduling, logistics coordination, and internal communications across BCZ teams.
  • Coordinate Meetings and Events:
    Prepare agendas, manage logistics, take minutes, and follow up on action items for internal meetings, team gatherings, and organizational events.
  • Maintain Organizational Documentation:
    Organize and maintain operational files, policy documents, and process guides in shared digital systems to ensure accessibility and accuracy.
  • Support Budget Tracking:
    Assist with financial tracking, expense reporting, and budget monitoring to support operational decision-making.
  • Coordinate Vendor and Contractor Relations:
    Liaise with vendors, contractors, and service providers to support procurement, scheduling, and service delivery.
  • Support Initiative Logistics:
    Provide logistical support for BCZ signature initiatives, community activations, and cross-team projects as directed.
  • Maintain Systems and Tools:
    Ensure operational tools, shared platforms, and tracking systems are up to date and functioning effectively.
  • Uphold BCZ Values:
    Model BCZ's C.R.E.A.T.E. values in all operational activities, team collaborations, and community-facing interactions.
Qualifications

Associate's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in operations coordination, administrative support, or project coordination.

Proficiency with digital tools including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, project management platforms, and shared spreadsheets.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively across teams.

  • Status:
    Full-Time, Hourly, 40 hours per week
  • Schedule:

    Monday–Friday; some evenings and weekends as required

    Hybrid, BCZ hub locations
  • Hourly: $26.22 – $32.69 per hour
