Front Desk Administrator – After School Program
Part-Time | $25/hour | 20–23 hours per week
Position OverviewOur After School Program is looking for a dependable and organized Front Desk Administrator who understands that the end of the school day is one of the most important moments for student safety and family connection. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly, and takes pride in creating a welcoming and well-organized experience for students, families, and staff each day.
We are seeking a reliable, professional, and highly organized team member to help ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming dismissal process for students and families. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, attentive to detail, and committed to maintaining strong communication with families, staff, and program leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate daily student dismissal by calling student names over the walkie-talkie clearly and efficiently
- Communicate with instructors to ensure students are safely escorted to the front desk for pick-up
- Welcome and assist families with a friendly, professional, and customer-focused approach
- Monitor and manage student sign-in and sign-out procedures
- Verify adult authorization and confirm identification in accordance with program safety policies
- Safely connect students with their authorized family members or guardians
- Maintain organized dismissal documentation and attendance records
- Encourage families to complete program surveys or feedback forms while waiting
- Communicate any concerns, irregularities, or safety issues to Program Coordinators promptly
- Support a smooth, calm, and well-managed dismissal environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor with strong conflict resolution and customer service skills
- High attention to detail, particularly regarding student safety procedures
- Prior experience working in schools, childcare programs, youth programs, or customer service environments preferred
- Must pass a criminal background check and TB clearance
- Must be able to work consistently during after school hours
- Must be able to commit for the duration of the academic school year
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to communicate professionally with program coordinators, students, families, school staff, and community partners
