Superintendent of Rolling Stock and Shops

Current Assignment

Under the direction of the Superintendent of Rolling Stock and Shops, the Assistant Superintendent of Rolling Stock and Shops will be responsible for, through subordinate professionals, planning and coordinating preventive maintenance, repair, modification, and inspection of fixed rail transit vehicles. The selected candidate will plan and coordinate shop activities including staffing and scheduling; provide responsible support to the Superintendent of Rolling Stock and Shops;

and provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Superintendent of Rolling Stock and Shops.

Recruitment Schedule

    February 18 – March 17

    April 18 – May 18
Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with a track record of successfully supervising and managing reliability and quality initiatives in a rail transit vehicle repair shop, demonstrating the ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships with union‑represented personnel, ensuring collaboration and mutual respect, and demonstrating experience in conducting comprehensive investigations into accidents, unusual occurrences, identifying root causes, and showcasing their commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
