The City of Oakland's Human Services Department, Early Childhood and Family Services Division (ECFS), is seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a Head Start Facilities Coordinator. We are looking for someone who is:

You'll be responsible for addressing a wide variety of facility issues. Many problems require different solutions depending on the location, so creativity and sound judgment are essential. - Proactive:
You'll develop and maintain a preventative maintenance system by conducting regular facility inspections and addressing potential issues before they become larger, more costly problems. - Relational & Communicative:
You'll collaborate with warehouse staff, center staff, and central office teams, while also coordinating with Public Works, contractors, and property managers. Clear, timely, and professional communication is key to success. - Comfortable with Technology:
You'll use Microsoft Office, Adobe Sign, Jotform, and Child Plus in your daily work. Based out of the ECFS warehouse, you'll also provide basic technology support and assistance to warehouse staff as needed. - Detail-oriented:
You'll maintain accurate records of work orders, preventative maintenance activities, and inventory, ensuring documentation is organized, complete, and up to date.
What you will typically be responsible for:
- Overseeing the maintenance of ECFS facilities and vehicles.
- Ordering, maintaining, and tracking inventory of supplies.
- Coordinating ECFS maintenance staff to prioritize and ensure work orders are completed in a timely manner.
- Maintaining accurate records of work orders and monitoring their status through completion.
- Collaborating with Oakland Public Works, contractors, and property management to resolve facility issues as needed.
- Supervising and coordinating drivers to ensure the timely delivery of food, supplies, and equipment.
