Job Description:

Parsons is seeking Field Project Managers to join our growing team in support of field engineering and construction activities across multiple programs in California. This is a standout opportunity to step into a high-demand role at the forefront of critical reconstruction efforts, directly contributing to community recovery and essential infrastructure restoration throughout the Bay Area.

These opportunities will be supporting PG&E in the Bay Area (San Jose, San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Walnut Creek, San Ramon, Concord), providing the chance to work alongside a hallmark client on impactful, high-visibility programs. Candidates are required to be located within 60 miles of these locations — any business travel expenses incurred will be reimbursed, including mileage.

In this role, you will help lead daily field operations, coordinate closely with project teams and subcontractors, support client communications, and help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with schedule and budget expectations. This is an on-site position that offers hands‑on leadership experience in a highly visible, mission‑critical setting.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Field Project Manager, you will serve as a key field leader supporting successful project execution from planning through delivery.

Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with the Project Manager to establish project schedules and budgets, and monitor progress against key milestones and cost targets

  • Support field engineering and construction activities across multiple fire rebuild programs

  • Develop project documents, processes, and procedures to support quality control and successful project delivery

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to determine labor requirements and support workforce planning for project tasks

  • Anticipate staffing needs, identify available personnel, participate in interviews, and make staffing assignments based on project schedule requirements

  • Establish performance objectives and conduct performance evaluations for direct reports

  • Develop and implement site‑specific safety plans and ensure all personnel understand and follow safety expectations

  • Actively promote Parsons’ safety culture and monitor the job site for safe work practices

  • Ensure all required legal notices are posted at the project site

  • Establish site security procedures and monitor access for subcontractors, vendors, and visitors

  • Lead weekly job meetings and prepare summaries of project progress, risks, and pending issues for the Project Manager

  • Prepare monthly client reports and respond to client questions, concerns, and expectations in a professional and timely manner

  • Assist with pricing and negotiating scope changes with clients and subcontractors

  • Review bid documents and support bidder solicitation activities

  • Document, track, and execute changes in project scope

  • Identify potential project issues early and work collaboratively with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and project leadership to implement corrective actions

  • Keep the client and Project Manager informed of daily field activities, progress, and emerging concerns

  • Maintain accurate and complete project documentation, including daily logs, field reports, and progress records

  • Perform other responsibilities associated with the role, as appropriate
