We are a design-focused architecture practice dedicated to shaping vibrant communities through multifamily, mixed-use, and hospitality projects. Our team brings creativity, technical strength, and a passion for urban living to every project. We offer a collaborative, growth-oriented environment where talented designers can make a real impact. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Job Captain to lead the production of construction documentation for multifamily and mixed-use projects, including affordable housing, market-rate apartments, and condominiums.

The Job Captain will work closely with design teams, project architects, and consultants to translate design intent into coordinated, code-compliant construction documents using Revit and BIM workflows. This role balances technical leadership, project coordination, and hands-on production to ensure projects are delivered on time and to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Revit models and BIM coordination, including setting up project standards, family creation, and clash detection workflows.
  • Coordinate with project architects, designers, engineers, consultants, and vendors to produce fully coordinated drawing sets and specifications.
  • Review design drawings for constructability, code compliance, accessibility, and technical accuracy.
  • Perform QA/QC on all documentation, ensuring consistency of details, schedules, annotations, and layering conventions.
  • Prepare and detail typical construction assemblies, unit layouts, wall sections, and finish schedules for market rate and affordable housing projects.
  • Mentor and review work of junior designers and drafter staff, providing clear guidance on Revit workflows and construction documentation best practices.
  • Manage project schedules and deliverables, track revisions, and maintain organized project file structures and document control.
  • Attend project meetings, client presentations, and site visits to coordinate design intent with field conditions and contractor requirements.
  • Assist in development of scope, fee estimates, and resource planning for project phases as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent technical degree
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant architecture experience with demonstrated experience as a Job Captain or similar role on multifamily and mixed-use projects.
  • Proven experience producing construction documents and construction documentation for apartments, condos, and mixed-use developments, including affordable housing and market-rate projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit and strong BIM skills; familiarity with Revit templates, families, worksets, and collaboration tools.
  • Strong technical understanding of building systems, assemblies, detailing, and construction methodologies.
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, and permitting processes for multifamily housing.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills; ability to work with design teams, consultants, clients, and contractors.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
