Job Description SummaryThe Peralta Community College District invites applications for Temporary, Part-Time Faculty in Nutrition and Dietetics.
ResponsibilitiesAs a part‑time instructor, you will design and deliver courses in nutrition and dietetics, develop lesson plans, assess student learning, and contribute to the academic mission of the district.
Minimum Qualifications- Possession of a Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Nutrition, Dietetics, or Dietetics and Food Administration.
- OR possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in these fields and a Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Public Health, or Family and Consumer Studies/Home Economics.
- OR possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in these fields, certification as a Registered Dietitian.
- May submit a fully satisfied lifetime California Community College Instructor Credential authorizing service to teach courses in Nutritional Science and Dietetics.
- The equivalent qualifications, with conclusive evidence of equivalence.
- Applicant must have demonstrated cultural competency, sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
