Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Current and valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with 6-12 Social Studies (RX) Endorsement.
- Proven ability to manage a diverse classroom effectively, fostering a respectful and productive learning environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Skilled in conflict resolution and positive discipline techniques.
- Proficient in educational technology tools such as Google Classroom, SMART Boards, and educational apps.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
- Strong organizational skills for managing classroom activities and maintaining accurate student records.
- Self-motivated and capable of motivating others towards academic achievement.
- Develop and implement dynamic, standards-aligned lesson plans utilizing diverse teaching techniques (e.g., project-based learning, digital resources, field trips) to engage 9-12 students.
- Cultivate a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment through effective behavior management and individualized student support.
- Monitor student progress through assignments, tests, and standardized assessments, providing constructive feedback and tailored academic assistance.
- Maintain open and consistent communication with parents regarding student academic performance, attendance, and social development.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to enhance curriculum, share best practices, and contribute to a cohesive educational team.
- Ensure a safe, secure, and healthy educational environment by establishing and enforcing classroom procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, faculty meetings, and professional organizations to continuously update job knowledge and teaching methodologies.
