Coastline College, a community college located just outside of Los Angeles in Orange County, California, has been an innovative leader in traditional and non‑traditional delivery of education since 1976. The college serves campuses in Westminster, Garden Grove and Newport Beach and an administration building in Fountain Valley.

This non‑academic, non‑classified Student Assistant role provides students with flexible work that fits around class schedules. Students work in a specific department and perform duties ranging from manual clerical tasks to specialized support.

• Work under immediate or general supervision depending on level.
• Perform routine, standardized tasks (Student Assistant I) or moderate, judgment‑based tasks (Student Assistant II–III).
• Use department software, data systems and confidential information as required.
• Maintain attendance and meet shift times.

• Full‑time college student enrolled in a minimum of 12 units at one of the Coast Community College District colleges.
• Prior experience, education or specialized skills for Student Assistant II or III levels.
• Demonstrated understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEIA).
• 2025–2026 Fall semester schedule for distance. (observe compliance with the Education Code).

Students receive hourly wages and can flex hours to accommodate classes. No health or paid holiday benefits. Fringe benefits are not provided.
