Summary of PositionThe Reading Success Coach leads the day-to-day aspects of Reading Partners’ service delivery in reading centers, including managing reading center operations, overseeing volunteer tutors, and ensuring effective program delivery. The coach is also the primary on-site contact for school staff and the community, and regularly participates in tutoring students.
Commitment & Service TermAmeri Corps volunteers serve full-time or part-time, in person, from August 2026 to June 2027, committing to a service term of 1700+ hours (full-time) or 900+ hours (part-time). All positions run Monday through Friday, typically from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, averaging 8.5+ hours per day for full-time service. Part‑time service times may vary.
Member Duties- Lead daily operations of Reading Partners’ tutoring programs at one or multiple reading centers.
- Serve as the primary on‑site representative to school staff and administrators, ensuring program alignment with site needs and student goals.
- Coordinate schedules and facilitate logistics for smooth operations.
- Provide technical support for tutors and students, troubleshooting technology issues.
- Organize and maintain reading centers, including curriculum materials, equipment, and technology.
- Sort donated books to support literacy and engagement initiatives, and handle physical logistics such as lifting and moving boxes as necessary.
