The Central Academic Recovery (CAR) team in OUSD's HS Linked Learning Office is seeking a highly motivated and organized History/Social Science Teacher to support and grow our district-wide academic recovery efforts. CAR supports academic recovery efforts across OUSD's high schools during the school day, after school online, and during the summer (Summer HAC credit recovery for 9th & 10th graders).
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a small team to design and implement holistic credit recovery programming.
- Plan and teach World History, US History, Government & Economics lessons across multiple high school sites.
- Provide case management for identified students and conduct frequent family outreach & engagement.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.

QualificationsCandidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, must be eligible for employment in the US and pass a criminal background check. Candidates must possess a Preliminary or Clear California teaching credential authorizing instruction in core TK-12 curriculum.
