Instructional Designer, Training Curriculum Dev

Location:

Oakland, CA (Hybrid)

• Strong background in instructional design and adult learning theory.
• Experience developing ILT training for hand-on, skills-based content.
• Ability to translate complex procedures into engaging learning content
• Strong knowledge of Articulate Rise PowerPoint, and Word.

• Strong communication skills, organized, attention to detail

• Design and develop eLearning, virtual, or instructor-led learning solutions for technical, compliance, systems, or soft skills concepts, following established instructional design methodologies.
• with cross-functional teams to conceptualize training design and content. Define learning objectives, course structure, learning content and assessments.
• Complete detailed analysis of each task to be trained/supported for target audience, business process, and systems.
• Follow company standards, guidelines, and templates to develop learning materials including storyboards, eLearning modules, virtual learning, student and facilitator guides, activities, scenarios, assessments, or performance support.
• Visualize instructional graphics, scenarios, or interactions. Write clear and effective instructional text, audio, or video scripts appropriate for the target audience.
• Participate in meetings with subject matter experts including task analysis, alpha, beta, and answer validation meetings.
• Engage with subject matter experts for ongoing content review and validation. Receive and incorporate feedback.
  
  Self-manage assigned tasks and deadlines to complete deliverables. Proactively communicate issues and risks

• 3+ years’ experience developing eLearning, virtual, or instructor-led training
• Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies
• Strong knowledge of Articulate Rise PowerPoint, and Word
• Flexibility to work on simultaneous development efforts, as needed
