Part-Time Adjunct Faculty Positions In Master Of Social Work (MSW) Program
Samuel Merritt University is currently accepting applications for part-time adjunct faculty positions in the Master of Social Work (MSW) Program. Our university, with a focus on health sciences, has a rich history of educating ethical, caring, and highly skilled health professionals in various undergraduate and graduate programs. The MSW program was launched in July 2023. The MSW program offers an extended three-year hybrid educational program.
Some classes are delivered online during evening hours, while others are conducted on-campus during weekends. The fully staffed MSW program comprises four full-time faculty, an administrative assistant, and a pool of part-time lecturers and field instructors. The department aims to admit 35 to 50 students annually, offering generalist training in the first year and advanced training in medical social work and behavioral health in subsequent years, with internship placements occurring in the second and third years.
Our university community is dedicated to serving diverse communities and reducing disparities in health and healthcare. We are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, as outlined in our Strategic Vision for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. The main Oakland campus, where the MSW program is located, offers a beautiful and diverse environment on the east side of the San Francisco Bay.
