Job Purpose:
The ELOP Coordinator at American Indian Model Schools is responsible for overseeing and managing the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) to ensure it meets the educational needs of students. This role involves coordinating activities, resources, and staff to provide enriching and supportive learning experiences outside of regular school hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement the ELOP plan that aligns with the school's educational goals and objectives. Coordinate and schedule ELOP activities, ensuring they are engaging, educational, and culturally relevant. Manage program resources, and materials to optimize the effectiveness of the ELOP. Supervise ELOP staff, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality educational experiences. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community partners to enhance program offerings and support student learning.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the ELOP, making adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to expanded learning programs. Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on program progress and achievements.
Required
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Administration, or a related field.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in educational program coordination or administration. Proven track record of working with diverse student populations, particularly within American Indian communities. Experience in developing and implementing educational programs and initiatives. Required
Skills and Abilities:
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and staff. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with community partners. Proficiency in using educational software and technology tools to enhance program delivery. Understanding of cultural sensitivity and the ability to incorporate cultural relevance into educational programs.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a dynamic educational environment.
