Teacher's Aide

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or classroom aide preferred
• Familiarity with supporting students in K-12 educational settings
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and students
• Ability to work with children of varying backgrounds and abilities, including those with special education needs
• Organizational skills and a proactive attitude to support classroom management
• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant college coursework or paraprofessional certification a plus

• Assist classroom teachers with daily activities, lesson preparation, and student supervision
• Support students one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives
• Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) as needed
• Encourage positive behaviors and help maintain classroom discipline
• Monitor students during classroom activities, transitions, and at recess or lunch
• Provide support to students with physical, emotional, or learning challenges
• Assist with clerical tasks such as grading, organizing materials, and record-keeping
