Opening Statement

Berkeley Rose Waldorf School is seeking a collaborative, enthusiastic, and reflective Grades Associate Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026–2027 school year.

This position may be especially well suited to an educator who is currently completing Waldorf teacher training, has experience assisting in a Waldorf classroom, is preparing for a future Lead Teacher role, or is an experienced teacher seeking a more collaborative position without the full responsibility of holding a class independently.

Working closely with experienced Lead Teachers, the Grades Associate Teacher will spend the majority of the school day in two primary classrooms while also supporting teaching and learning in additional grades. The position offers meaningful opportunities to teach lessons, participate in curriculum planning, build relationships with students and families, and experience the full rhythm of Waldorf classroom life.

Through daily collaboration, observation, mentoring, and hands-on teaching, this role offers an opportunity to deepen one’s Waldorf teaching practice, whether preparing for future Lead Teacher responsibilities or bringing experience to a more collaborative classroom role.
