Part Time Music Instructor

Peralta Community College District is looking for qualified part-time faculty to provide high-quality music instruction and support to students. Instructors will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that align with the District's mission of promoting equity and student success. Assignments may vary and can include teaching during the day, evening, weekend, online, or hybrid formats across the District's colleges.

Duties include preparing course materials, evaluating student performance, and maintaining communication with students. Faculty must also comply with District policies and participate in professional development activities.

To qualify, applicants must have either a Master’s degree in music or a Bachelor’s degree in music along with a Master’s degree in humanities. Candidates should demonstrate an understanding and respect for the diverse backgrounds of the student population. Applicants must submit transcripts and a detailed record of relevant work experience to verify they meet the minimum qualifications as set by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office.
