The Teen Center Director leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services for teen members (ages 13–19). This role is responsible for creating a dynamic teen program that promotes leadership, academic success, college and career readiness, and personal growth.

The Teen Center Director actively builds relationships with local schools, community partners, and families to recruit and retain teen members. This role plans and facilitates teen programming including leadership development, college exploration, career readiness opportunities, field trips, and exposure to post-secondary pathways. The Teen Center Director ensures programs are safe, inclusive, and responsive to members’ needs while supervising staff and volunteers and managing program operations.

• Plan and oversee Clubhouse teen programs that support Youth Development Outcomes.
• Develop engaging teen programming that promotes leadership, academic success, and healthy lifestyles.
• Create and implement programs focused on college exploration, career readiness, and workforce preparation, including workshops, guest speakers, mentorship opportunities, and skill-building activities.
• Plan and coordinate teen field trips, including college visits, career exploration trips, and cultural or educational experiences.
• Oversee day‑to‑day teen program activities, ensuring strong participation, instruction, and meaningful engagement.
• Demonstrate leadership to ensure conduct, safety, and positive development of teen members.
• Continually evaluate programs to ensure responsiveness to member needs and consideration of gender and cultural diversity.

• Develop and maintain relationships with local middle schools, high schools, counselors, and community organizations to promote teen participation in BGCO programs.
• Represent the Club at school events, community meetings, and outreach opportunities to recruit and engage teen members.
• Collaborate with school staff and partners to identify opportunities for academic support, college access programming, and youth leadership development.
• Support strategies to increase teen membership, attendance, and sustained engagement.

• Maintain safe, well‑organized program environments, ensuring proper equipment maintenance and adherence to health and safety standards.
• Control departmental and assigned program expenditures within approved budgets.
• Ensure accurate record keeping and reporting of activities, participation, achievements, and challenges.
• Coordinate logistics for teen activities including transportation, field trips, and special events.

• Allocate and monitor work assigned to program staff and volunteers, providing feedback and conducting regular performance appraisals.
• Ensure productive and effective performance across all program personnel.

• Promote teen programs through schedules, announcements, flyers, social media, and other communications.
• Build relationships with teens, families, schools, and community partners to increase program participation and visibility.
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor for teen members.

• May oversee special teen programs and events such as Keystone Club, Youth of the Year, leadership programs, and teen service projects.
• May occasionally drive the Club van to transport youth or materials.
• May consult with parents concerning member and branch issues.
• Assist with other branch activities and special initiatives as needed.

• Regular presence at the Clubhouse during operational hours, including some evenings and weekends as needed.
• Physical activities include frequent sitting, walking, talking, lifting (up to 25 pounds), stooping, occasional climbing, and standing for extended periods.
• Must hold current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Must pass a background check and fingerprint verification.
